Description Glutamine synthetase (GLN or GS) is one of the key enzymes involved innitrogen metabolism of plants. It catalyses the synthesis of glutamine fromglutamate and ammonia in an ATP-dependent reaction. There are two generalclasses of glutamine synthetase in plants: GLN1, a cytosolic form and GLN2, achloroplastic form. GLN2 is encoded by a single gene and is highly abundant inmesophyll cells of leaves for the assimilation of ammonia produced fromphotorespiration and the reduction of nitrate in the chloroplasts.
Specificity Predicted reactivity: dicots including: Brassica napus, Glycine max, Phaseolus vulgaris, monoctosincluding: Hordeum vulgare, Oryza sativa,Triticum, aestivum, Zea mays, trees:Pinus sylvestris, Populus sp., moss: Physcomitrella patens.

Application Details

Application Notes Recommended Dilution 1:5000 on 0.5-5 ug protein/lane with ECL Advance detection (WB).
Purity Serum
Storage store lyophilized/reconstituted at -20°C, once reconstituted make aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Please, remember to spin tubes briefly prior toopening them to avoid any losses that might occur from lyophilized materialadhering to the cap or sides of the tubes.
