Additional Information

Alternative name CD9
Immunogen Permeabilized murine bone marrow-derived mast cells (BMMC).
Isotype IgG1
Clone EM-04
Description CD9 belongs to proteins of tetraspanin family that orchestrate cholesterol-associatedtetraspanin-enriched signaling microdomains within the plasma membrane, formingcomplexes with each other as well as with integrins, membrane-anchored growth factorsand other proteins. CD9 is involved in cell motility, osteoclastogenesis, neurite outgrowth, myotube formation, and sperm-egg fusion, plays roles in cell attachment and proliferationand is necessary for association of heterologous MHC II molecules on the dendritic cellplasma membrane which is important for effective T cell stimulation. CD9 is also consideredas metastasis suppressor in solid tumors.
Specificity The rat monoclonal antibody EM-04 recognizes CD9 antigen, a 24 kDa transmembraneprotein expressed on platelets, monocytes, pre-B lymphocytes, granulocytes and activatedT lymphocytes.

Application Details

Application Notes The reagent is designed for Flow Cytometry analysis. Suggested working cocnetration is 6 µg/ml Indicated dilution is recommended starting pointfor use of this product. Working concentrations should be determined by the investigator.
Concentration 0.1 mg/ml
Buffer The reagent is provided in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azideand 0.2% (w/v) high-grade protease free Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) as a stabilizing agent.
Storage Store in the dark at 2-8 o C. Do not freeze. Avoid prolonged exposure to light. Do not use after expiration date stamped on vial label.Short-term exposure to room temperature should not affect the quality of the reagent. However, if reagent is stored under any conditions other than those specified, the conditions must be verified by the user.
