Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the c-terminal region of human SORCS3 (VPS10 domain containing receptor SorCS3) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen shares 95% identity with mouse sequence.
Isotype IgG
Specificity Appears to be specific for SORCS3.
Purity IgG
Alternative Name SORCS3 (VPS10 domain containing receptor SorCS3)
Background This gene encodes one family member of vacuolar protein sorting 10 (VPS10) domain-containing receptor proteins. The VPS10 domain name comes from the yeast carboxypeptidase Y sorting receptor Vps10 protein. These genes are strongly expressed in the central nervous system. Two of the five family members (sortilin and sortilin-related receptor) are synthesized as preproproteins.
Subcellular location: Membrane, Single-pass type I membrane protein.
Tissue specificity: Highly expressed in brain. Also known as: SORCS 3, SORCS, Sortilin related VPS10 domain containing receptor 3, VPS10 domain containing receptor SorCS3, VPS10 domain receptor protein SORCS 3.
UniProt Q9UPU3
Application Notes IHC, WB. A concentration of 10-50 µg/ml is recommended. The optimal concentration should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Restrictions For Research Use only
