Alternative Name CD107b / LAMP2 (LAMP2 Antibody Abstract)
Background CD107b, also known as lysosomal-associated membrane protein 2 (LAMP-2), is a heavily glycosylated, type I transmembrane protein that constitutes one of the two major sialoglycoproteins on lysosomal membranes that can be used to distinguish lysosomes from other organelles. (Ref.1) CD107b is similar in structure to Mac-1 and is expressed primarily on epithelial cells and macrophages in a variety of organs in normal and Beige mutant mice. (Ref.2)Synonyms: LAMP-2, LAMP-2C, LAMPB, Lysosome-associated membrane glycoprotein 2
Gene ID 16784
UniProt P17047
Research Area CD Antigens, Surface Receptors of Immune Cells
Application Notes Flow Cytometry: < / = 1 μg/10^6 cells. Immunohistochemistry (Acetone-Fixed, Frozen Tissue Sections only). (Ref.2,5)Immunoprecipitation. (Ref.2)
Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
