Background: TOE1 belongs to the CAF1 family and 1 C3H1-type zinc finger. TOE1 inhibits cell growth rate and cell cycle. It induces CDKN1A expression as well as TGF-beta expression and mediates the inhibitory growth effect of EGR1.
