Background: Calcipressin 3 inhibits calcineurin dependent transcriptional responses by binding to the catalytic domain of calcineurin A, and may play a role during central nervous system development. Highest expression occurs in heart, skeletal muscle kidney, liver and peripheral blood leukocytes.
