Immunogen Purified recombinant fragment of human SETDB1 expressed in E. Coli.
Clone 5H6D4
Isotype IgG1
Purification Ascitic fluid
Alternative Name SETDB1 (SETDB1 Antibody Abstract)
Background This gene encodes a histone methyltransferase. The encoded enzyme catalyzes the reaction of S-adenosyl-Lmethionine and histone L-lysine to produce S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine and histone N(6)-methyl-L-lysine. The encoded protein likely functions in transcriptional repression.
Tissue specificity: Widely expressed. High expression in testis.
Synonyms: ESET, KG1T, KMT1E, KIAA0067, H3-K9-HMTase4, SETDB1
Molecular Weight 180kDa
Gene ID 9869
Application Notes Western Bloting: 1/500 - 1/2000.
ELISA: Propose dilution 1/10000.
Not yet tested in other applications.
Determining optimal working dilutions by titration test.
