CASP5 gene overexpression significantly promoted angiogenesis ability of HMEC-1 cells, which was probably achieved by inhibiting angpt-1 (show ANGPT1 ELISA Kits)/Tie2 (show TEK ELISA Kits) and promoting VEGF (show VEGFA ELISA Kits)-1 signal pathway.
Caspase-4 (show CASP4 ELISA Kits) and caspase-5 mediate IL-1alpha and IL-1beta (show IL1B ELISA Kits) release from human monocytes after lipopolysaccharides stimulation.
The distribution of the other genotypes; rs507879, rs518604 and rs523104 of caspase-5) was not significantly different between patients with psoriasis vulgaris and the healthy controls.
both caspase-4 (show CASP4 ELISA Kits) and caspase-5 are functionally important for appropriate responses to intracellular Gram-negative bacteria.
Data show that exposure of hepatocytes to direct hypoxia resulted in acid sphingomyelinase (show SMPD1 ELISA Kits) activation and ceramide elevation associated with activation of caspase 5 and the subsequent cleavage of HuR (show ELAVL1 ELISA Kits) and apoptotic cell death.
Data suggest a positive association of caspase-3 (show CASP3 ELISA Kits) and diplotype analysis of caspase-5 to be associated with prostate cancer risk.
Mutual activation between caspase-5 and -1 suggests caspase-5 may work predominantly in concert with caspase-1 (show CASP1 ELISA Kits) in modulating retinal pigment epithelium inflammatory responses.
Association of death receptor 4, Caspase 3 (show CASP3 ELISA Kits) and 5 gene (show GPD1 ELISA Kits) polymorphism with increased risk to bladder cancer in North Indians.
This gene encodes a member of the cysteine-aspartic acid protease (caspase) family. Sequential activation of caspases plays a central role in the execution-phase of cell apoptosis. Caspases exist as inactive proenzymes which undergo proteolytic processing at conserved aspartic residues to produce two subunits, large and small, that dimerize to form the active enzyme. Overexpression of the active form of this enzyme induces apoptosis in fibroblasts. Max, a central component of the Myc\\/Max\\/Mad transcription regulation network important for cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis, is cleaved by this protein\\\\; this process requires Fas-mediated dephosphorylation of Max. The expression of this gene is regulated by interferon-gamma and lipopolysaccharide. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified for this gene.
