Data show that the MAPKKK6 ASK2, a modulator o (show MAP3K5 ELISA Kits)f MAPKKK5 ASK1 signaling, was essential for ASK1-dependent apoptosis, but not for inducing interferon-beta (IFNB) expression.
MAP3K6 acts as a tumor suppressor, and studies showing the presence of somatic mutations in MAP3K6 in non-hereditary gastric cancers and gastric cancer cell lines, point towards MAP3K6 variants as a predisposing factor for familial gastric cancer
Apoptosis signal-regulating kinase (ASK) 2 functions as a mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase (show WNK2 ELISA Kits) in a heteromeric complex with ASK1 (show MAP3K5 ELISA Kits).
regulation of VEGF (show VEGFA ELISA Kits) by MAP3K6 may play a crucial role in both angiogenesis and tumorigenesis.
Data show that deletion of either MAPKKK5 ASK1 (show MAP3K5 ELISA Kits) or MAPKKK6 ASK2 in mice promoted the replication of influenza A virus in the lung.
This gene encodes a member of the serine/threonine protein kinase family. The encoded kinase was identified by its interaction with MAP3K5/ASK, a protein kinase and an activator of c-Jun kinase (MAPK7/JNK) and MAPK14/p38 kinase. This kinase was found to weakly activate MAPK7, but not MAPK1/ERK or MAPK14. An alternatively spliced transcript variant has been found for this gene, but its biological validity has not been determined.
