Human Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase (PTP) interaction partners

  1. Results show that melanoma cells express high LMW-PTP levels in comparison with normal fibroblasts. Its downregulation sensitizes melanoma cell line to dacarbazine, 5-FU, and radiotherapy. These results provide evidence that LMW-PTP induces resistance toward traditional anticancer therapy.

  2. LMWPTP may be involved in time to progression of castration-resistant prostate cancer

  3. ACP1 may have an important role in regulation of the multiple systems associated with suicide.

  4. Conditioned medium from MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells with total knockdown of LMW-PTP, but not of slow isoform LMW-PTP, significantly reduced osteoclast differentiation of RAW 264.7 cells.

  5. results confirm the role of TPH1, TPH2, 5HT2A, CRHR1 and ACP1 variants in the risk of suicidal behavior.

  6. These data support that PTPN22 1858C/T, PTPRJ 2965C/G and 1176 A/C polymorphisms and ACP1 A, B and C alleles are not associated with a higher risk of immune thrombocytopenia P in adults.

  7. The LMW-PTP slow isoform can be an important protein in bone metastatic disease, with a fundamental role in the interplay between tumor cells and osteoclasts, through the regulation of Src activity and IL-8 secretion.

  8. Overexpression of LMWPTP in prostate cancer confers a malignant phenotype with worse clinical outcome.

  9. ADA6, PTPN22 and ACP1 are involved in immune reactions: since endometriosis has an autoimmune component.

  10. LMPTP expression increases in end-stage heart failure in humans

  11. Suggest that hypermethylation of ACP1, BMP4, and TSPYL5 are common events in HCC and could be used as potentially detectable biomarkers in HCC tissues.

  12. the present study found that the ACP1*C allele, previously associated with an increased vulnerability to infectious/parasitic diseases may also be able to shape behavioral immune defenses by interaction with the level of E.

  13. Association of an increased risk of coronary artery disease, especially in females, with ACP1 polymorphisms.

  14. ACP1 knockdown attenuates effects of osmotic stress in HaCaT cells, mainly in the status of Src kinase, Rac and STAT5 phosphorylation and activity.

  15. The rs3828329 of ACP1 gene is also a risk factor of CAD in Han Chinese females aged 65 years and older.

  16. ACP1 polymorphism is associated with type 1 diabetes mellitus.

  17. In ACP1 *B/*C genotype, which shows the highest enzymatic activity, spermatic concentration is significantly lower and atypical spermatozoa are significantly more frequent as compared to other ACP1 genotypes.

  18. In Class 3 people the combination of high ACP f-isozyme concentration and the ADA*2 allele, lowers the rate of glycolysis that may reduce the amount of metabolic calories and activates Sirtuin genes that protect cells against age-related diseases.

  19. certain genotypes of ACP1 associated with high phosphatase activity may increase the T-cell response to PF4-heparin complexes, with higher levels of circulating antibodies

  20. A significant increase of PTPN22 *T allele in endometriosis is observed in women carrying ACP1*C allele, in women carrying p53 codon 72 *Pro allele

Mouse (Murine) Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase (PTP) interaction partners

  1. Both in its ligand-free state and when bind to PRK2, PDZ3 of PTPN13 adopts the classical compact, globular D/E fold. PDZ3 of PTPN13 binds five carboxy-terminal amino acids of PRK2 via a groove located between the EB-strand and the DB-helix.

  2. Following TBI, calpain-2 activation cleaved PTPN13, activated c-Abl and triggered tau tyrosine phosphorylation.

  3. contributions of Fap1 to tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKI)resistance, CML blast crisis, and relapse after TKI discontinuation

  4. The data show that the levels of PTPN13 and beta-catenin must be strictly regulated by extracellular signaling to regulate hematopoietic stem cells attachment to the bone marrow niche and the balance between proliferation and quiescence.

  5. The study presents a detailed kinetics analysis of the interaction between PTP-BL PDZ2 domain and a peptide mimicking the PDZ binding motif of APC.

  6. SDCCAG3 forms a complex with PTPN13. Interaction of SDCCAG3 with PTPN13 is mediated via the FERM domain of PTPN13 and via the N-terminus of SDCCAG3.

  7. Data indicate that Bcr-abl increases PTPN13 promoter activity in an Icsbp-dependent manner.

  8. Since PTPL1 catalytic activity is important for cell transformation, VCP regulation by PTPL1 might be important for tumorigenesis.

  9. These findings demonstrate a key role for PTP-BL in 3T3-L1 and mouse embryo fibroblasts-derived adipocyte differentiation that is independent of its enzymatic activity.

  10. Structure, dynamics and binding characteristics of the second PDZ domain of PTP-BL

  11. With delayed kinetics, ephrinB ligands recruit the cytoplasmic PDZ domain containing protein tyrosine phosphatase PTP-BL and are dephosphorylated.

  12. FAP-1 has a role in binding to, and consequently inhibition of, Fas export to the cell surface

  13. examination of potential role of PTP-BL in the dynamics of the cortical actin cytoskeleton

  14. In alternatively spliced variant structural changes have imp[lications in the functional role of PTP-BL

  15. a very mild but significant impairment of motor nerve repair was observed in PTP-BL mutant mice

  16. Involved in the regulation of the meiotic cell cycle.

  17. PTP-BL facilitates both retinal ganglion cell neurite initiation and survival of activated retinal glia

  18. Different pools of PTP-BL-containing protein complexes can be discerned in neuronal cells, reflecting distinct molecular microenvironments in which PTP-BL may exert its function.

  19. The interferon consensus sequence-binding protein (ICSBP/IRF8) represses PTPN13 gene transcription in differentiating myeloid cells

Protein Tyrosine Phosphatase (PTP) Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

The product of this gene belongs to the phosphotyrosine protein phosphatase family of proteins. It functions as an acid phosphatase and a protein tyrosine phosphatase by hydrolyzing protein tyrosine phosphate to protein tyrosine and orthophosphate. This enzyme also hydrolyzes orthophosphoric monoesters to alcohol and orthophosphate. This gene is genetically polymorphic, and three common alleles segregating at the corresponding locus give rise to six phenotypes. Each allele appears to encode at least two electrophoretically different isozymes, Bf and Bs, which are produced in allele-specific ratios. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene.
