TCEB3 encodes the protein elongin A, which is a subunit of the transcription factor B (SIII) complex. Additionally we are shipping TCEB3 Antibodies (95) and TCEB3 Kits (30) and many more products for this protein.
Showing 5 out of 7 products:
associates with transcriptionally active puff sites within Drosophila polytene chromosomes and exhibits many of the expected biochemical and cytological properties consistent with a Pol II-associated elongation factor (show TSFM Proteins)
RNA polymerase II elongation factor (show TSFM Proteins), Elongin A, has an essential role in the regulation of heat shock gene expression
Polycomb (show CBX2 Proteins) repressive complex 2 modulates transcription of a subset of low expression target genes in part via methylation of EloA.
Elongin A transcription elongation activity, but not its ubiquitination activity, is most important for its function in induction of transcription of ATF3 (show ATF3 Proteins) and p21.
Elongin A transcriptional elongation activity, but not its E3 ubiquitin ligase (show MUL1 Proteins) activity, is critical for these functions.
a linkage between Elongin A function and cell cycle progression

the Elongin A ubiquitin ligase and the CSB protein function together in a common pathway in response to Pol II stalling and DNA damage
TCEB3C is a putative tumor suppressor gene of small intestinal neuroendocrine tumors
Elongin A transcription elongation activity, but not its ubiquitination activity, is most important for its function in induction of transcription of ATF3 (show ATF3 Proteins) and p21 (show CDKN1A Proteins).
This gene encodes the protein elongin A, which is a subunit of the transcription factor B (SIII) complex. The SIII complex is composed of elongins A/A2, B and C. It activates elongation by RNA polymerase II by suppressing transient pausing of the polymerase at many sites within transcription units. Elongin A functions as the transcriptionally active component of the SIII complex, whereas elongins B and C are regulatory subunits. Elongin A2 is specifically expressed in the testis, and capable of forming a stable complex with elongins B and C. The von Hippel-Lindau tumor suppressor protein binds to elongins B and C, and thereby inhibits transcription elongation.
