    Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded Sections) (IHC (p))
    Specificity
This antibody detects 5-HT7 Receptor (HTR7) at N-terminal domain.
    Purification
    Immunoaffinity chromatography
    Immunogen
HTR7 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide from N-terminal domain of human HTR7 / 5-HT7.
  • Application Notes
Immunohistochemistry on paraffin sections (10 μg/mL). Antigen retrieval: Steam slides in 0.01 M sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0, at 99-100C for 20 min. Remove from heat and let stand at room temperature in buffer for 20 min. Rinse in 1xTBS with Tween (TBST) for 1 min. at room temperature.
    Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

    Background
5-HT7 Receptor is a Serotonin Receptor with several functions, including regulation of the circadian rhythm and mediation of smooth-muscle relaxation in the vasculature and GI tract. This receptor has been implicated in depression, autistism, and other neuropsychiatric disorders. Three protein isoforms have been documented: isoform a: 445aa, isoform b: 432aa, isoform d: 479aa.Synonyms: 5-HT-7, 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 7, 5HT7
