Characteristics: Recombinant Human Interferon alpha-6/IFNA6 is produced with our mammalian expression system in human cells. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Ser21-Glu189) of Human IFNA6 fused with a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

Reconstitution: It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 μg/mL.
Dissolve the lyophilized protein in ddH2O.
Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.

Buffer: Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution of 20 mM PB, 150 mM NaCl, pH 7.4.

Handling Advice: Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting.

Background: Interferon alpha-6 (IFN-alpha6) is a secreted protein which belongs to the alpha/beta interferon family. IFN-alpha has antiviral activities. Interferon stimulates the production of two enzymes: a protein kinase and an oligoadenylate synthetase.
