    Characteristics
    Key Benefits:
    • Made to order protein - from design to production - by highly experienced protein experts.
    • Protein expressed in mammalian cells and purified in one-step affinity chromatography
    • The optimized expression system ensures reliability for intracellular, secreted and transmembrane proteins.
    • State-of-the-art algorithm used for plasmid design (Gene synthesis).
This protein is a made-to-order protein and will be made for the first time for your order. Our experts in the lab try to ensure that you receive soluble protein.

If you are not interested in a full length protein, please contact us for individual protein fragments.

The big advantage of ordering our made-to-order proteins in comparison to ordering custom made proteins from other companies is that there is no financial obligation in case the protein cannot be expressed or purified.

    Background
Chloride channel protein 1 (ClC-1) (Chloride channel protein, skeletal muscle),FUNCTION: Voltage-gated chloride channel (PubMed:8112288, PubMed:9122265, PubMed:12456816). Plays an important role in membrane repolarization in skeletal muscle cells after muscle contraction. The CLC channel family contains both chloride channels and proton-coupled anion transporters that exchange chloride or another anion for protons (Probable). The absence of conserved gating glutamate residues is typical for family members that function as channels (Probable). {ECO:0000269|PubMed:12456816, ECO:0000269|PubMed:22521272, ECO:0000269|PubMed:26007199, ECO:0000269|PubMed:26502825, ECO:0000269|PubMed:26510092, ECO:0000269|PubMed:7951242, ECO:0000269|PubMed:8112288, ECO:0000269|PubMed:9122265, ECO:0000269|PubMed:9736777, ECO:0000305|PubMed:29809153}.
