Immunogen Synthetic peptide of human hair (trichocytic) keratin hHa3 (EKP IGS CVT NPC GPR SR), coupled to KLH.
Specificity The antiserum stains specifically human hair keratin K33 expressed starting from the middle hair cortex. Because of high sequence homology both keratin isoforms K33a (formerly also designated keratin hHa3-I) and K33b (formerly designated keratin hHa3-II) are detected.

Application Notes Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections: 1/200, 1h at RT, preincubate fixed sections with0.1 Triton X-100 (in PBS) for 1 - 5 min prior to first antibody incubation step. Immunoblotting: 1 : 2,000, ECL method. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
