Highly pure (>98%) recombinant hGM-CSF (human Granulocyte Macrophage ColonyStimulating Factor)
Description
The cytokine GM-CSF stimulates the growth and differentiation of hematopoietic precursorcells from various lineages, including granulocytes, macrophages, eosinophils anderythrocytes. Used in myeloid reconstitution following bone marrow transplant, bonemarrow transplant engraftment failure or delay, mobilization and following transplantationof autologous peripheral blood progenitor cells, and following induction chemotherapy inolder adults with acute myelogenous leukemia.

Specificity
Granulocyte Macrophage Colony Stimulating Factor (GM-CSF)Species: Human. Others not tested. Add. Information: Centrifuge vial prior to opening!
Application Notes
Neutralization: To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of hGMCSF (1.0 ng/ml), a concentration of 0.30-0.50 μg/ml of this antibody is required. ELISA: To detect hGM CSF by direct ELISA (using 100 l/well antibody solution) aconcentration of at least 0.5 μg/ml of this antibody is required. This antigen affinitypurified antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detectionof 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hGM CSF. Western Blot: To detect hGM CSF by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at aconcentration of 0.1 - 0.2 μg/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagentsthe detection limit for recombinant hGM CSF is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing ornon-reducing conditions. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Buffer
0.5X PBS, pH 7.4 without preservatives.Reconstitution: Restore in sterile water to a concentration of > 0.2 mg/ml.
Storage
Store the antibody prior to reconstitution at -20°C. Following reconstitution the antibodycan be stored at 2-8°C for one month or at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: One year from despatch.
