The Rabbit Polyclonal anti-Amylase beta antibody is suitable to detect Amylase beta in samples from Sweet potato. It has been validated for WB and EIA.
Suitable for Immunoblotting (Western or Dot blot), ELISA, Immunoprecipitation and mostimmunological methods requiring high titer and specificity. Recommended dilutions: ELISA: 1/2,000-1/10,000. Western Blot: 1/200-1/1,000. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Background
Beta Amylase is an enzyme found in the seeds of higher plants and in sweet potatoes. It hydrolyses 1,4 alpha D glucosidic linkages in polysaccharides to remove successive maltose units from the non reducing ends of the chains. Used in the structural analysis of starch and glycogen.Synonyms: 1, 4-alpha-D-glucan maltohydrolase, AMYB, BMY1
