The Goat Polyclonal anti-Bilirubin Oxidase antibody (ABIN116649) specifically detects Bilirubin Oxidase in WB and EIA.
The antibody is reactive with Myrothecium samples.
Suitable for Immunoblotting (Western or Dot blot), ELISA, Immunoprecipitation and mostimmunological methods requiring high titer and specificity. Recommended Dilutions: This product has been assayed against 1.0 μg of BilirubinOxidase [Myrothecium verrucaria] in a standard sandwich ELISA using Peroxidaseconjugated Affinity Purified anti-Goat IgG [H&L] (Goat) and ABTS(2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) as a substrate for 30 minutes atroom temperature. A working dilution of 1: 7,500 to 1: 35,000 of the reconstitutionconcentration is suggested for this product. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Background
Bilirubin Oxidase is an enzyme that catalyses the oxidation of bilirubin to biliverdin and other substrates. This enzyme has been expected to be used in the field of clinical pathology for the enzymatic determination of total bilirubin in serum and the treatment of jaundice and hyperbilirubinemia.
