Additional Information

Alternative name Interleukin-4 / IL4
Swiss-Prot P07750
Immunogen Recombinant Mouse IL-4. Spleen cells from immunised BALB/c mice were fused with cells of the mouse P3.X63 Ag8.653 myeloma cell line
Isotype IgG1  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Clone BVD4-1D11
Description Interleukin-4 is a potent lymphoid growth factor, which stimulates the growth and survival of certain B and T cells.
Specificity This antibody is specific for Interleukin-4 (IL-4). Clone BVD4-1D11 is reported to neutralise the effects of IL-4. We recommend the use of ABIN118403 for functional studies.

Application Details

Application Notes Flow Cytometry: 1/10 - 1/50, Use 10ul of the suggested working dilution to label 10e6 cells in 100ul, Membrane permeabilisation is required. Immunohistochemistry on frozen sections. ELISA: 1ug/ml - 5ug/ml. Western Blot: 1ug/ml - 5ug/ml. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
Concentration 1.0 mg/ml
Buffer PBS, pH7.4 containing 0.09% Sodium Azide
Storage Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf Life: one year from despatch.
