Application Details

Application Notes: Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution >1:32,000. Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave a strong band at approx 40kDa in Human Liver lysates at 0.2ug/ml. Please note that currently we are unsure of the identity of this band given the existence of 5 isoforms of PAX8 between 450 aa and 287 aa. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Immunohistochemistry: In paraffin embedded Human Thyroid Gland shows nuclear staining in epithelial cells around follicles. Recommended concentration, 1-2µg/ml. A customer found this antibody not to work in immunohistochemistry on Mouse tissues. Expected from sequence similarity: Human, Mouse, Rat

Purification: Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.

Buffer: 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin.
