Gene ontology terms: nucleus, regulation of transcription, DNA-dependent, steroid hormone receptor activity, thyroid hormone receptor activity, transcription coactivator activity, transcription factor activity |
| Specificity | This antibody is expected to recognise an epitope corresponding to aa 429-442 of human LXR alpha protein (NP_005684) and to aa 443-456 of human LXR beta protein (NP_009052). Human, Mouse, Rat 447 aa, 461 aa |
Application Details
| Application Notes | Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:32,000. Western Blot: Approx 55kDa band observed in human spleen lysates (calculated MW of 50.5kDa according to NP_005684 and 50.1kDa according to NP_009052). Recommended concentration: 1-3µg/ml. Additional minor bands were also consistently observed at 38kDa and 75kDa. These bands were successfully blocked by incubation with the immunising peptide. |
| Purification | Purified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide. |
| Buffer | 0.5 mg/ml in Tris saline, 0.02% sodium azide, pH7.3 with 0.5% bovine serum albumin. |
| Storage | Aliquot and store at -20°C. Minimize freezing and thawing. |
| Restrictions | For Research Use only |
Images
| ABIN185294 (1µg/ml) staining of human spleen lysate (35µg protein in RIPA buffer). Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence. |
