Specificity
- Recognizes sheep interleukin-6 (IL-6) and has also been reported to recognize recombinant human IL-6 and bovine IL-6 transfected cells. Clone 3H2541 does not cross-react with sheep IL-1 beta, IL-8, MCP-1 or TNF alpha. May also be used in combination with AHP424 in ELISA assays for sheep IL-6. Species cross-reactivity: Has been reported to recognize an IL-6 homologue in African green monkey.
