Description: L glutamate is the major excitatory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system. Glutamatergic neurotransmission is involved in most aspects of normal brain function andcan be perturbed in many neuropathologic conditions. The metabotropic glutamatereceptors are a family of G protein-coupled receptors that have been divided into 3 groups. Group III receptors include GRM7 and are linked to the inhibition of the cyclic AMPcascade. GRM7 has been reported to be expressed in active zones of presynaptic axonterminals in various regions of the brain, eye, and spinal cord.

Specificity: MGluR7 antibody detects endogenous levels of mGluR7 protein. Species: Human, Mouse, Rat. Others not tested.

Application Notes: ELISA: 1: 40000~1: 60000. WB: 1: 500~1: 1000. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
