The Rabbit Polyclonal anti-Anti-Helix pomatia Agglutinin IgG antibody is suitable to detect Anti-Helix pomatia Agglutinin IgG in samples from Helix pomatia. It has been validated for ELISA.
Helix pomatia agglutinin (HPA) ia a N-acetylgalactosamine binding lectin, found in the reproductive gland of a Roman snail. The expression of HPA-binding glycoproteins by cancer cells can serve a marker of metastatic competence and poor prognosis in a range of common human adenocarcinomas, including those of breast, stomach, ovary, colorectum, prostate and tyroid. Abount 80% of metastases arising from primary breast cancer are predictably HPA positive. For research purposes only
