The Rabbit Polyclonal anti-CDK1 antibody (ABIN362121) specifically detects CDK1 in WB and IHC.
The antibody is reactive with Human, Mouse and Rat samples.
The antibody detects endogenous level of CDC2 only when phosphorylated at threonine 161.
Purification
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatogramphy using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorrylation site.
Immunogen
Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of pThr161 (T-Y-T (p) -H-E) derived from Human CDC2. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates.
Western blotting: 1:500-1:1000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100

Background
Plays a key role in the control of the eukaryotic cell cycle. It is required in higher cells for entry into S-phase and mitosis. p34 is a component of the kinase complex that phosphorylates the repetitive C-terminus of RNA polymerase II.
