There are 2+ publications for this product available. The Rabbit Polyclonal anti-CDK1 antibody is suitable to detect CDK1 in samples from Human, Mouse and Rat.
The antibody detects endogenous level of CDC2 only when phosphorylated at tyrosine 15.
Purification
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.
Immunogen
Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of pTyr15 (G-T-Y (p) -G-V) derived from Human CDC2. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates.
Phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 0.02 % sodium azide and 50 % glycerol.
Preservative
Sodium azide
Precaution of Use
This product contains sodium azide: a POISONOUS AND HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCE which should be handled by trained staff only.

Target
CDK1
(Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 1 (CDK1))
Alternative Name
CDC2
Background
Plays a key role in the control of the eukaryotic cell cycle. It is required in higher cells for entry into S-phase and mitosis. p34 is a component of the kinase complex that phosphorylates the repetitive C-terminus of RNA polymerase II.
