Additional Information

Alternative name Immunoglobulin E (IgE) (Fc)
Gene ID IGHE, chromosome 14q32.33
Immunogen purified human myeloma IgE
Format Affinity-purified, 0.1% sodium azide
Isotype IgG1 kappa
Clone BSW17-NBS01
Description The antibody recognizes a conformational epitope within the Ce3 domain of human IgE spanning towards the amino-terminal part of the Ce4 domain. It blocks the binding of IgE to its high affinity receptor on mast cells and basophils. It is therefore suited as an inhibitory reference compound for mast cell modulator profiling and basic research on IgE mediated mast cell receptor signaling.
Specificity Human IgE, Fce3-4, no cross-ractivity with other human or murine Ab isotypes

Application Details

Application Notes When used for functional cellular assays (mast cell / basophil activation) at dilutions < 1:100, the Na-azide free formulation is recommended. Quality assurance: Reactivity > 99%, compared to calibrator (Internal Standard mAb BSW17), tested by ELISA binding to immobilized human Standard IgE (SUS-11)
Concentration 1mg/ml
Purity > 95%, tested by analytical Gel Permeation Chromatography
Purification Affinity - purified from cell culture supernatant by Immunoaffinity Chromatography on CH-Sepharose 4B
Buffer PBS, pH=7.2, 0.1% NaN3
Storage Store undiluted at 4°C. For long term storage, aliquot and store at -20°C
Research Area Allergy
Restrictions For Research Use only
