Description: TIP30 is a member of the short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases (SDR) family. It is aserine/threonine kinase that phosphorylates the C-terminal domain (CTD) of the largestRNA polymerase II subunit and induces the expression of apoptosis related genes Bad andSiva, as well as metastasis suppressor NM23 H2. It also interacts with an estrogen receptoralpha-interacting coactivator CIA and regulates ERalpha-mediated c-myc transcription. Thisprotein is also known to bind the activation domain of HIV-1 Tat.

Specificity: This antibody detects HTATIP2 at N-term. Species: Human. Others not tested.

Application Notes: Peptide ELISA: 1/32000. Western blot: 0,3 - 1,0 µg/ml. Approx 30kDa band observed in Hela and Human Lunglysates (predicted MW of 27.1kDa according to NP_006401). Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
