Comments
|
Background: GCN5 functions as a histone acetyltransferase (HAT) to promote transcriptional activation. Acetylation of histones gives a specific tag for epigenetic transcription activation. This protein has significant histone acetyltransferase activity with core histones, but not with nucleosome core particles.
