Isotype Ig
Description Other names: cAMP response element-binding protein, CREB, CREB1,
Characteristics Peptide Affinity Purified Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Pab)
Specificity This Phospho-CREB-S133 antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding S133 of human CREB.
Molecular Weight 36688 DA
Comments

Background: CREB is a transcription factor that is a member of the leucine zipper family of DNA binding proteins. This protein binds as a homodimer to the cAMP-responsive element, (CRE), a sequence present in many viral and cellular promoters. The protein is phosphorylated by several protein kinases, and induces transcription of genes in response to hormonal stimulation of the cAMP pathway.

Application Details

Application Notes The suggested dilution is: ELISA~~1:1,000 Western blotting~~1:100~500 Immunohistochemistry~~1:50~100
Concentration 0.25 mg/ml
Purification Purified
Buffer Purified polyclonal antibody supplied in PBS with 0.09% (W/V) sodium azide. This antibody is first purified by protein G affinity chromatography. Then, the antibody fraction is peptide affinity purified in a 2-step procedure with control and phosphorylate
Storage Maintain refrigerated at 2-8 deg C for up to 6 months. For long term storage store at -20 deg C in small aliquots to prevent freeze-thaw cycles
Research Area Phospho-specific antibodies, Cell Signaling, Protein Modifications, Transcription Factors, Signaling, Cell Structure
Restrictions For Research Use only
