Additional Information

Alternative name BCHE
Gene ID 590
UniProt P06276
Immunogen This BCHE antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 393~422 amino acids from the center region of human BCHE.
Isotype Ig
Description Other names: Pseudocholinesterase, Butyrylcholine esterase, Choline esterase II, Acylcholine acylhydrolase, Cholinesterase, BCHE, CHE1
Characteristics Purified Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Pab)
Specificity This BCHE antibody is generated from rabbits immunized with a KLH conjugated synthetic peptide between 393~422 amino acids from the center region of human BCHE.
Molecular Weight 68418 DA
Comments

Background: Mutant proteins of BCHE are responsible for suxamethonium sensitivity. Homozygous persons sustain prolonged apnea after administration of the muscle relaxant suxamethonium in connection with surgical anesthesia. The activity of pseudocholinesterase in the serum is low and its substrate behavior is atypical. In the absence of the relaxant, the homozygote is at no known disadvantage.

Application Details

Application Notes The suggested dilution is: ELISA ~~ 1:1,000 Western blotting~~ 1:50~100
