Description: OASIS is a putative CREB/ATF family transcription factor with a putative C-terminalhydrophobic transmembrane domain. It can activate transcription through box-B elementsbut not through CRE of somatostatin. Shortening of the OASIS transmembrane domainresults in a significant increase in transcriptional activity and changes its subcellularlocalization from the endoplasmic reticulum to the nucleus. The CREB3L1 gene encodes a protein with a transmembrane domain that is atranscriptional activator of the CREB/ATF family.

Application Notes: Peptide ELISA: Detection Limit: 1/32000. Western blot: 1-3 µg/ml. Approx 60kDa band observed in lysates of cell line A549(calculated MW of 57.0kDa according to NP_443086.1). Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
