Additional Information

Characteristics Rabbit Anti-Human Obestatin
Alternative name Obestatin
Swiss-Prot NM_016362
Reconstitution Supplied as 100 µg of purified and lyophilized antibody. The antibody is stable for at least one year from the data of receipt when stored at -20° C to -70° C. Reconstituted antibody (suggesting with sterile PBS) can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20° C to -70° C in a manual defrost freezer for months without detectable loss activity. Upon reconstitution, the antibody can be stored at 4° C for 1 month. If 1 ml of PBS is used, the antibody concentration will be 100 µg/ml. Please avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Isotype IgG  (Matching secondary antibodies)
Description Ghrelin and obestatin are a single gene products and are a multiple functional peptides that regulates energy homeostasis, and food intake. Both are two different peptides generated from proteolytic cleavage of the same precursor, preproghrelin by posttranslational processing. Human obestatin consists of 23 amino acid peptide with a flanking conserved glycine residue at the C-terminus, in which has very high homology with ones derived from other species.
Specificity The rabbit anti-human Obestatin antibody detects specifically both synthetic peptide and cellular protein from 3T3-L1 cell line. Cross reactivity with mouse and rat are expected from sequence similarity.

Application Details
