Background: LTA, a member of the tumor necrosis factor family, is a cytokine produced by lymphocytes. The protein is highly inducible, secreted, and forms heterotrimers with lymphotoxin-beta which anchor lymphotoxin-alpha to the cell surface. This protein also mediates a large variety of inflammatory, immunostimulatory, and antiviral responses, is involved in the formation of secondary lymphoid organs during development and plays a role in apoptosis.

Western blot analysis of LTA Antibody (Center) (ABIN652448) in MDA-MB231 cell line lysates (35ug/lane). LTA (arrow) was detected using the purified Pab.

Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human hepatocarcinoma reacted with LTA Antibody (Center), which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry. clinical relevance has not been evaluated.

Flow cytometric analysis of HepG2 cells using LTA Antibody (Center)(bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.
