Cow (Bovine) Polyclonal CACNG4 Primary Antibody for WB - ABIN2776202
Moss, Dolphin, Clare: Human neuronal stargazin-like proteins, gamma2, gamma3 and gamma4; an investigation of their specific localization in human brain and their influence on CaV2.1 voltage-dependent calcium channels expressed in Xenopus oocytes. in BMC neuroscience 2004
These results indicate that CACNG4, CACNG5 (show CACNG5 Antibodies), CACNG6 (show CACNG6 Antibodies) and CACNG8 (show CACNG8 Antibodies) may contribute to the risk of SCZ. The statistical epistasis identified between CACNG5 (show CACNG5 Antibodies) and CACNG6 (show CACNG6 Antibodies) suggests that there may be an underlying biological interaction between the two genes.
examined distribution of the stargazin (show CACNG2 Antibodies)-like proteins gamma2, gamma3, and gamma4 in human CNS: gamma2 is expressed in cerebellum, cerebral cortex, hippocampus and thalamus, whereas gamma3 abounds in cerebral cortex & amygdala and gamma4 in basal ganglia
The protein encoded by this gene is a type I transmembrane AMPA receptor regulatory protein (TARP). TARPs regulate both trafficking and channel gating of the AMPA receptors. This gene is part of a functionally diverse eight-member protein subfamily of the PMP-22/EMP/MP20 family and is located in a cluster with two family members, a type II TARP and a calcium channel gamma subunit.
