Background
- CD151/SFA-1 is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, which is found to be up-regulated upon transformation by HTLV-1 and is trans-activated by Tax. CD151/SFA-1 associates with a5ß1 integrin and regulates adhesion of HTLV-1 infected T cells to fibronectin.Synonyms: GP27, Membrane glycoprotein SFA-1, PETA-3, PETA3, Platelet-endothelial tetraspan antigen 3, SFA-1, SFA1, Tetraspanin-24
