Background
Tubulin is one of several members of a small family of globular proteins. The most common members of the tubulin family are alpha-tubulin and beta-tubulin, each has a molecular weight of approximately 55 kDa. Neuron-specific class Ⅲ beta-Tubulin, also called TUBB3, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TUBB3 gene which maps to chromosome 16q24.3. It was significantly expressed in fibroblasts. And it has an important function in antimicrotubule drug resistance.
