CCL2
Reactivity: Human
WB, IHC, ELISA, IF
Host: Rabbit
Polyclonal
unconjugated
Application Notes
Neutralization: To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of Murine JE(MCP-1)(100 ng/mL), a concentration of 4.0-6.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. Sandwich ELISA: To detect Murine JE(MCP-1) by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) aconcentration of 0.5-2.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purifiedantibody, in conjunction with Biotinylated Anti-Murine JE(MCP-1)(PP020B1, PP020B2) as adetection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of recombinant MurineJE(MCP-1). Western Blot: To detect Murine JE(MCP-1) by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at aconcentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagentsthe detection limit for recombinant Murine JE(MCP-1) is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under eitherreducing or non-reducing conditions. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Background
This chemotactic factor attracts monocytes and basophils but not neutrophils or eosinophils and augments monocyte anti-tumor activity. It has been implicated in the pathogenesis of diseases characterized by monocytic infiltrates, like psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis or atherosclerosis. It may be involved in the recruitment of monocytes into the arterial wall during the disease process of atherosclerosis.Synonyms: C-C motif chemokine 2, HC-11, HC11, MCAF, MCP-1, Monocyte chemoattractant protein 1, Monocyte chemotactic and activating factor, Monocyte chemotactic protein 1, Monocyte secretory protein JE, SCYA2, Small-inducible cytokine A2
