Application Notes
-
Application Note: Anti-Carbonic anhydrase I Biotin Antibody has been tested by ELISA and western blot. This product is assayed against 1.0 μg of Carbonic Anhydrase I in a standard capture ELISA using Peroxidase Conjugated Streptavidin #S000-03 and ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) code # ABTS-100 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:4,000 to 1:20,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product. Specific conditions should be optimized by researcher.

Background
- Background: Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) are a large family of zinc metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide. They participate in a variety of biological processes, including respiration, calcification, acid-base balance, bone resorption, and the formation of aqueous humor, cerebrospinal fluid, saliva, and gastric acid. They show extensive diversity in tissue distribution and in their subcellular localization. Carbonic Anhydrase 1 (CA1) is closely related to Carbonic Anhydrase 2 (CA2) and Carbonic Anhydrase 3 (CA3), and it is a cytosolic protein that is found at the highest level in erythrocytes. Anti-Carbonic anhydrase I antibody is ideal for investigators involved in serum protein components.
