  • Application Notes

Application Note: Anti-Esterase Biotin Conjugated Antibody has been tested by ELISA and western blot. This product is assayed against 1.0 μg of Esterase in a standard capture ELISA using Peroxidase Conjugated Streptavidin #S000-03 and ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) code # ABTS-100 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature.  A working dilution of 1:4,000 to 1:20,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product.

    Background

Background: Anti-Esterase antibody is involved in the detoxification of xenobiotics, as well as in the activation of ester and amide prodrugs. The antibody is inactive on long-chain triacylglycerols and diacylglycerol, but active towards triacylglycerides composed with short-chain fatty acids from C2 to C6 and monoacylglycerols containing fatty acids from C2 to C12. Esterase hydrolyzes aromate and alkyl esters and vitamin A acetate, the rate of hydrolysis varies due to the hydrolyzing substances. Anti-Esterase antibody member of the type-B carboxylesterase/lipase family.
