Usage: Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry. Not suitable for use in Western Blot since the epitope most likely involves both alpha 6 and beta 1 integrin subunit. Does not block alpha 6 integrin mediated cell adhesion to laminin. Activation of integrin signaling properties by MA6 has not been characterized. Immunoprecipitation: 2 μg of MA6. (1E6 cell lysate). Flow Cytometry: 10 μg/mL. Immunohistochemistry: 20 μg/mL (frozen tissue sections). Immunocytochemistry: Cell lines tested by using antibody to express alpha 6 integrins include: mouse bone marrow-derived mast cells, melanoma cell line B16F1, squamous carcinoma SCC-VII, fibroblast cell line NIH-3T3, splenic T lymphocytes, thymocytes and various T cell lines. Hybridoma: Fusing rat spleen cells with Mouse SCC-VII squamous cell carcinoma. Cells lines that express Integrin alpha6: Mouse bone marrow-derived mast cells, melanoma cell line B16F1, squamous carcinoma SCC-VII, fibroblast cell line NIH-3T3, splenic T-lymphocytes, thymocytes and various T-cell lines.
