Specificity
- Recognizes human myeloperoxidase (MPO). MPO is an important component of azurophilic granules in neutrophils. The protein is a multimer of 2 heavy chains (55kD) and two light chains (15kD), the heavy chains being linked by a disulfide bond. Recognizes native MPO in Western blots, and the heavy chain following boiling of the sample. Also recognizes recombinant MPO in Western blots and weakly in ELISA.

Application Notes
- Suitable for use in Flow cytometry following cell permeabilization (1:50-1:100), immunohistochemistry with frozen sections (1:1.000 - 1:5.000) and paraffin sections (1:500 - 1:1.000), ELISA and Western blot (non-reducing conditions). Each laboratory should determine an optimum working titer for use in its particular application. Other applications have not been tested but use in such assays should not necessarily be excluded.
