Product Details anti-CD90 Antibody (FITC)

Specificity: This antibody recognises CD90, also known as Thy1.1. Since Thy1.1 is a monomorphic determinant in Rat but polymorphic in mice, clone MRC OX-7 reacts with Thy1.1 mice e.g. AKR and FVB mice, but not Thy1.2 mice such as CBA and BALB/c. Clone MRC OX-7 has been demonstrated to promote neurite outgrowths on peripherin-stained sympathetic neurons, using Fluorescence Microscopy (See Jeng, C .J. et al. for details). The Affinity of the Fab' of MRC OX-7 for Rat Thy1 is 3 x 109m-1 and Mouse Thy1.1 is 3 x 108m-1 (See Mason, D.W. & Williams, A.F. for details). This clone has been reported to induce glomerular nephritis in Wistar rats (See Tamura, M. et al. for details).

Immunogen: Rat Thy1 antigen. Spleen cells of immunised BALB/c mice were fused with cells of the mouse NS1 myeloma cell line.

Application Details

Application Notes: Flow Cytometry: Use 10 μL of Neat-1/10 diluted antibody to label 10^6 cells in 100 μL. This product is routinely tested on rat thymocytes.
Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
