The antibody recognizes Carboxypeptidase B from Porcine pancreas. The reagents were evaluated for potency, purity and specificity using most or all of the following techniques: Immunoelectrophoresis, Cross-Immunoelectrophoresis, single Radial Immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony), block titration, ELISA, Immunoblotting and Enzyme Inhibition. Cross-reactivities against enzymes of other sources may occur but have not been determined.
Purification
Solid Phase Affinity Chromatography
Immunogen
Carboxypeptidase B isolated and purified from Porcine pancreas. Freund’s complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.
Optimal working dilution should be determined by the investigator.
Restrictions
For Research Use only
Reconstitution
Restore by adding 0.5 mL of sterile distilled water
Concentration
2.0 mg/mL
Buffer
PBS, pH 7.2 stabilized with Dextran without preservatives and foreign proteins
Preservative
Without preservative
Storage
4 °C/-20 °C
Storage Comment
Store the antibody lyophilized at 2-8 °C and reconstituted at 2-8 °C for one week or (in aliquots) at -20 °C for longer. If a slight precipitation occurs upon storage, this should be removed by centrifugation.
Target
CPB1
(Carboxypeptidase B1 (Tissue) (CPB1))
Alternative Name
Carboxypeptidase B
Background
Carboxypeptidase catalyzes the hydrolysis of the basic amino acids lysine, arginine and ornithine from the C terminal position in polypeptides. It occurs as a zymogen in the pancreas in most vertebrates.Synonyms: CPB, CPB1, PASP, PCPB, Pancreas-specific protein
