  • Purification

This IgG1/K antibody was purified from a Protein A chromatography column.

    Immunogen

The monoclonal antibody was produced in BALB/c mice using recombinant human MCP-4 as the immunizing antigen.
  • Application Notes

    Neutralization:
To yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of rMCP-4 (100 ng/mL), a concentration of 1-5 μ,g/mL of this antibody is required.

    ELISA:

In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100 μ,L/well), a concentration of 2.0-4.0 μ,g/mL of this antibody will detect at least 100 pg/mL of recombinant human MCP-4 when used with our biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-human MCP-4 (XP-5225Bt) as the detection antibody at a concentration of approximately 0.5-1.0 μ,g/mL.

    Western Blot:
To detect hMCP-4 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.20-0.40 μ,g/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hMCP-4 is 2.0-4.0 ng/lane, under non-reducing conditions.

    Storage Comment

MCP-4 lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. Reconstitute in sterile water to a concentration of 0.1 - 1.0 mg/mL. The antibody is stable for at least six weeks at 2-4°C when reconstituted.
  • Target

    CCL13 (Chemokine (C-C Motif) Ligand 13 (CCL13))

    Alternative Name

    MCP-4

    Background

MCP4 is a member of the b-chemokine family (C-C) of Cytokines. Like Eotaxin, MCP4 is a powerful eosinophil chemo-attractant. Additionally, like MCP-3, MCP-4 elicits chemo-attraction of monocytes and T lymphocytes
