Application Notes
-
Western blot: 1-2 μg/mL
Flow Cytometry: 0.5-1 μg/10e6 cells
IF: 1-2 μg/mL
IHC (FFPE): 1-2 μg/mL for 30 minutes at RT (1)
Prediluted format : incubate for 30 min at RT (2)
Titering of the CD31 antibody may be required for optimal performance.1. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 1 mM EDTA, pH 7.5-8.5, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.
2. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min. -

Background
- CD31 is found on the surface of platelets, monocytes, neutrophils, and some types of T-cells, and makes up a large portion of endothelial cell intercellular junctions. It is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and is likely involved in leukocyte migration, angiogenesis, and integrin activation. [RefSeq]
