    Background

Synonyms: D lactate dehydrogenase antibody, DLD antibody, Lactate dehydrogenase D antibody, Ldhd antibody, LDHD_HUMAN antibody, MGC57726 antibody, mitochondrial antibody, Probable D lactate dehydrogenase mitochondrial antibody, Probable D-lactate dehydrogenase antibody

Background: LDHD belongs to the D-isomer specific 2-hydroxyacid dehydrogenase family. D-lactate and D-glycerate dehydrogenase activities have been found in a similar protein in yeast. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
