    Storage Comment

Storage before reconstitution: The antibody ships as a lyophilized powder at room temperature. Upon arrival, it should be stored at -20°C.

Storage after reconstitution: The reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week. For longer periods, small aliquots should be stored at -20°C. Avoid multiple freezing and thawing. Centrifuge all antibody preparations before use (10000 x g 5 min).

    GPR37 (G Protein-Coupled Receptor 37 (Endothelin Receptor Type B-Like) (GPR37))
    Alternative Name

    Background
G-protein coupled receptor 37, Prosaposin receptor GPR37, Parkin-associated endothelin receptor-like receptor, Endothelin B receptor-like protein 1,GPR37 or parkin-associated endothelin-like receptor, is an orphan G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) almost exclusively expressed in the central nervous system. High levels of the protein are detected in the cerebellum, corpus callosum, caudate nucleus, putamen, substantia nigra, and hippocampus.GPR37 is a substrate of the E3 ubiquitin ligase parkin and acts as a receptor for prosaposin. The protein affects oligodendrocyte differentiation and myelination during development1,2.Studies show that GPR37 is heavily involved in the pathogenesis of Parkinson's disease. Missense mutations of GPR37 substrate E3 ubiquitin ligase parkin result in the accumulation of GPR37 in the brain of Parkinson's disease patients1,2. In addition, GPR37 levels are up-regulated in the brains of juvenile Parkinson disease patients and down-regulated in the amygdala and hippocampus of major depressive disorder patients3.
