Application Notes
- This antibody is a strong inducer of homotypic adhesion in hematolymphoid cells (Levy, 1998). This antibody also has an anti-proliferative effect, and is able to induce growth inhibition of B cell lines. Triggering of CD81 by this antibody induces a significant upregulation of the constituitive release of TNF-α by JY cells, an Eptsein-Barr virus-positive B lymphoblastoid cell line (Altomonte, 1995).
