Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed Sections) (IHC (f))
  • Specificity

Recognizes a protein of 20-25 kDa, identified as human interferon. This MAb is specific to human IFN-i³, and recognizes both recombinant and native human IFN-gamma. T lymphocytes and NK cells mainly produce IFN-i³. It is a pleiotropic cytokine involved in the regulation of nearly all phases of immune and inflammatory responses, including the activation, growth and differentiation of T cell, B cells, macrophages, NK cells and other cell types such as endothelial cells and fibroblasts. It has weak anti-viral and anti-proliferative activity, and potentiates the antiviral and anti-tumor effects of IFN-i±/i² (type I interferon).

    Cross-Reactivity (Details)

    Human.

    Purification

1.0mg/ml of Ab purified from Bioreactor by Protein A/G.

    Immunogen

Purified recombinant human full-length IFNG protein

  • Application Notes

Known_Application: Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed) (1-2 μg/mL for 30 minutes at RT),(Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA, pH 9.0, for 45 min at 95 °C followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes),Optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined.

Positive_Control: PMA stimulated human peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Renal or testicular carcinoma.
